William Shatner Panel

As we were crossing the sky bridge at Phoenix Convention Center, I heard a familiar voice from the large room and decided to duck my head in to hear the adventures of William Shatner, aka Captain Kirk.

During his discussion, which may have been a bit of rambling, her described how the earth is a living thing, which tries to maintain homeostasis, as well as talks about how John Delancy has the larger ego between, him and Shatner.

During the Q and A session during the post Shatner was asked about his experiences with turkey frying, which didn’t go according to plan, but did land him as an autotuned spokes person for State Farm Insurance. Check it out here:

I WANT A DEEP FRIED TURKEY!

He also talked about the making of the series “Better Late Than Never,” where William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw and George Foreman travel across the world without outside assistance and have hilarious experiences with heartwarming moments and unexpected twists. He described as kinda like jackass for old guys, and when asked what it was like working with George Foreman, he said “it was an honor to be KO’d” by him and he is an amazing person.

When asked about the series, Invasion Iowa, Shatner described it as having “punk’d” a whole town. The town was Riverside Iowa, the location of James T. Kirk’s birth in the future (original timeline). All goofiness and trikery aside, the series helped the town, and its people. The production company, donated a library, helped a family fulfill their dream of going to Hawaii, and even assisted in the adoption one family was making.

Overall, it was an amazing experience hearing first hand from William Shatner.
