The Orville Experience was a unique opportunity to see all the props and costumes. We unfortunately missed the cast visiting the exhibit, but the staff presented us with a copy of the book “The World of The Orville”, signed by Seth McFarland, creator of The Orville. Throughout the exhibit we could get close enough to the costumes to see all the details. I feel that next year we will see more cosplay of characters from the Planetary Union.
Different from other exhibits were signs saying to take pictures. Interestingly, we found an item that did not appear in the show. We noticed that there was a Muppet of Kelly Grayson. When we asked the staff about it as we didn’t remember it in the show. Even the activation staff were unsure of where it appeared. They had to look up the sign that accompanied it as it was way up high, and found that it was intended for “Mad Idolatry” S1 Ep12, but was cut from the script.
As a fan of The Orville I want to congratulate them on their 2019 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Visual Effects and their 3 nominations for the Saturn awards from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, USA. Best Science Fiction TV Series, Best Actor: Seth McFarland, and Best Actress in a Television Series: Adrianne Palicki. I can’t wait for season 3 on Hulu in 2020.
