Robert Downey Jr. is the latest blockbuster stars to be the target of a cyber attack.
Early this morning the star of Marvel’s Avengers Endgame and the one who started the whole MCU (in Ironman) as we know it, was targeted by someone who took over his Instagram account. Since then RDJ has warned his fans to steer clear of his account via Twitter. We couldn’t find any evidence of an attack but most likely the feed was cleaned up before the news broke.
Rumors are going around that the posts were for giveaways for items such as iPhones and Teslas which all seem very Tony Stark but also not very legit.
Robert Downey Jr. is just the most recent of this type of attack. Recently Jeremy Renner another star from the MCU who had his own app was targeted and individuals were able to take control sending messages as him. He has since shuttered his app due to this activity.
The film’s Avengers Endgame and Captain Marvel were recently released for home viewing and as always there are haters and trolls on the internet who post hateful things even on a post like the one RDJ responded with closing with “I love you 3000.” Robert Downey Jr. Has also recently launched 2 initiatives to help humanity and the planet so that just brings more hate I’m betting. I personally hope that this brings more attention to his causes and backfires on the trolls.
