Summer Glau began her career as a ballerina but ended up in TV and movies after being discovered by Joss Whedon, acting in Angel as a Russian ballerina, though she actually is from Texas.
Her second came when she portrayed Cameron Phillips, a terminator sent from the future to protect Sarah Connor and her son, John Connor in the series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. After this series she spent the next few years in multiple recurring roles such as The 4400, Alphas, and Dollhouse, another Joss Whedon series.
She also has become a fan favorite in The CW’s Arrow playing Isabel Rochev/Ravager. She also has played herself in CBS’s The Big Bang Theory.
