When I first talked to the Disney+ representatives at the D23Expo in 2019, I was explicitly promised that we would get EVERYTHING from “Vault Disney”, The Wonderful World of Disney (and it’s other titles over the years) and every Disney motion picture released, but then they weren’t there and the STILL aren’t there now in 2023. These are the list of the things I believe I was promised and are missing:
- Walt Disney’s: Disneyland/Wonderful World of Color/Disney/The Disney Sunday Movie
- Texas John Slaughter
- Elfego Baca
- Ludwig Von Drake
- Help Wanted: Kids
- The Girl Who Spelled Freedom
- Time Flyer (The Blue Yonder)
- Swamp Fox
- Tomorrowland
- Man and the Moon
- Our Friend the Atom
- Johnny Tremain
- Adventures in Wonderland
- The Star Wars Christmas Special
- (Most) True Life Adventures
- Song of the South
- Captain E.O.
- (Most) The Mickey Mouse Club
- The NEW Mickey Mouse Club
- Son of Flubber
- The Absent Minded Professor (Harry Anderson version)
While they did add somethings that were on this list when I started it, such as:
- Tomorrowland
- Zorro (series)
- Wonderful World of Disney
- Tomorrowland
- Man in Space
- Man on the Moon
- Tomorrowland
they’ve already taken away Tomorrowland again and the others only came about recently.
Disney+, it isn’t that you’ve moved them to other services, and there is something else holding the licensing. I get why you might not want “Song of the South” to hide history from everyone, but where is everything else?
