Editorial: Be The Best a [Human] can get

Gillette called us (everyone) out but I want to extend it further. With all the me toos…  The Momo whatevers… (google Mariah Mallad to find out more) the “kick Vics” (VIC MIGNOGNA NO LONGER PART OF ‘RWBY’ … and Bulma Voice Actress Monica Rial Shares Alleged Inappropriate Encounters…) and the crap that went down at Anime LA.

We as a fandom population can do better, and we must do better!

As a subset of the population there is a magnifying glass on us. Each and every one of us. One person screws up and we all take the heat. This doesn’t just affect the fandom population. In another part of my life, I’m not just a fandom photographer but a fashion photographer. When one photographer or model does something it affects all of us in the industry. It sickens me to think that fans and professionals alike in the industry cannot get their @*$! together and stop hurting one another.

For together we are greater than the sum of our parts. So I’m going to say it again, every cosplayer, every photographer, every media professional, every booth worker, every voice actor, and every lay person. I Robert Weintraub, and we here at The Con Togs are calling you out to be a better man, woman, child, any form of person. To quote a TV commercial I used to see all the time growing up “be all you can be” and to quote Wil Wheaton (he’s dot net), “don’t be a dick.”

We in no way are connected to the Gillette corporation in any way, we were just inspired. If you have seen us in person, you know we don’t shave often. (Beards are not just for November…)
